Most Common Corporate Poses

If you’re in business, chances are at some point or another, you’ve had your portrait taken for work. Corporate portrait photography is a specialty where experience matters. Why? Well, you when you look at hundreds of photographs side-by-side, the really good ones really stand out. Whether online, in a brochure or even on a billboard, if you’re using your portrait to sell yourself, make sure it stands out.

Boston’s Most Common Corporate Poses

Arms Crossed

General body language rules would dictate that crossing your arms may make you seem closed off. So why is this such a common pose? When done right, it can also portray a sense of confidence.

Hand on Chin

This is a pose that is trying to say “I’m paying attention and listening”.

Angled Headshot

One of the most common corporate poses is an angled headshot. It’s flattering when done right.

Standing Up

Full-body shots are common with corporate photography

Leaning on Something

Whether seated or standing, the leaning shot helps a person look relaxed.

How can your corporate portrait stand out from the crowd?

Good lighting, good posture and an experienced photographer are key to ensuring your picture is more than just your pose. Your portrait should showcase your personality and your brand.

Do you want to stand out? Contact Nikki Cole for corporate headshots in Boston. With years of experience, she’s experienced in helping Boston’s professionals with their commercial photography needs.
